Illustrated by Bono.
Performed by Gavin Friday and the Friday-Seezer Ensemble.
An interpretation of Prokofiev's classic tale, about a boy who ignores his grandfather's warning about wolves and goes out alone into the meadow next to the forest.
When Prokofiev premiered 'Peter And The Wolf' in 1936 he can scarcely have foreseen how successful his playful classic would prove to be, or how consistently it would delight children of all ages for years to come.
Now in a remarkable publishing venture, Bono and his childhood friend Gavin Friday, of the Virgin Prunes have collaborated to produce an irresistible and enchanting version of the classic story in book form and enhanced CD.
The beautifully produced hardback storybook contains 64 pages of Bono's original paintings - with help from his daughters Jordan and Eve - to illustrate the story. The enhanced CD gives a totally fresh, funny and original rendition of the classical musical score, narrated in a sly and hilarious reading by Gavin Friday.
