New work spaces in buildings for research and science must allow for the researcher to experiment, to have space work alone and other spaces in which to communicate with other professionals. Scientists from all over the world move their homes and their lives to places and countries far away from their normal surroundings. The atmosphere and the conditions of the work place must be appealing, almost home-like, where a high percentage of the work area is to be destined for resting, contemplation, relationships and even leisure. The collected projects like Linnaeusborg Centre for Life Sciences, Academic Centre for Dentistry, Stony Brook University Simons Center for Geometry and Physics, Beaty Biodiversity Centre and Aquatic Ecosystems Research Laboratory, CIC EnergiGUNE, Van Leeuwenhoek Laboratory will show this new type work place perfectly!
