The scientists at Wilkes Ice Station had sacrificed two of their best divers to find out just what was buried under 100-million years worth of Antarctic ice. The distress signal went out, and now US Marine Lieutenant Shane Schofield and his crack team of soldiers must race to defend the discovery of a lifetime for his country. But two other elite forces think otherwise.
Armed only with what they can carry, and opposing forces that are more than ten times their size, the US Marines must fight for their lives while protecting the ship and Wilkes Ice Station. Time is running out, and the odds are stacked up against Schofield coming out on top.
