Viola, a precocious, teenage vixen, has been sent off to finish her schooling at a crumbling French chateau. Her education consists of masked balls at the neighbouring chateaux, flirting with the young French aristocrats, and smoking too many Gitanes.
Then Sabine, the new teacher arrives and Viola gets a completely different schooling. Sabine is spiky and provocative and loathes her languid charges, especially the insolent Viola. But hostility quickly turns to passion and soon teacher and student succumb to their deepest, most secret desires.
