A native of South Wales, Rosalind Wise (British, b. 1949) takes inspiration from nature, painting scenes of flower gardens and meadows on canvases typically four to five feet across. Wise often makes quick plein air sketches during her morning walks, recording the relationships of plants growing together naturally in wild and untouched settings, as well as in groomed gardens. Later, in her home studio, she works from her studies, collected specimens, and photographs to complete her oils on canvas. 40 full-color reproductions; up to 480 entries; 20 tabbed alphabetial dividers.
