My Autobiography.
This is the story of how Ronald Balfour Corbett, the son of a baker in Edinburgh, became convinced that he had to became an actor. It is the story of how he pursued that goal and eventually achieved it, along the way finding fame as one of the 'Two Ronnies', and encountering an extraordinary cast of characters.
The book tells of his schooldays; his years performing in nightclubs, pantomines, and summer shows; and many other jobs including a tennis court supervisor and an estate agent's runner. Then there was a hugely successful television show with the other Ronnie. He also tells of how it was nearly goodnight to his career when he was struck down on the stage of the Palladium by a mystery illness.
