Prompted by a book on the medieval archer that he wrote in 1985 which sparked an interest in the historical background for the legend, Jim Bradbury began to dig deeper than the picture that media representations present. One of the clues he examines is the legend of Robert the Bruce, who may have helped shaped the common picture or Robin Hood.
