Eddie's new in town, hanging out on his own while he waits for school to begin. Drawn in by a gang of boys infamous for their elaborate scams around town - the Reservoir Pups - Eddie finds his initiation involves breaking into the very hospital his mother works at.
That's bad enough, but then he overhears a plan to kidnap babies from one of the wards. Soon Eddie and the Pups are on the trail of a gang of baby-snatchers . . .
