Refugees contains works by an array of both celebrated and lesser-known German-born refugee artists, principally from the Ben Uri Collection, but supplemented by a number of important works from public and private collections. AUTHORS: Sarah MacDougall, Head of Collections, and Rachel Dickson, Head of Curatorial Services, are co-curators at Ben Uri Gallery and Museum and have curated and published extensively on twentieth-century British artists of Jewish descent, and émigré artists in Britain, with a particular specialism on the 'Whitechapel Boys'.
