It can be overwhelming for the parents of a child who suffers from reflux, although many people do not understand this. They may think reflux is normal or even trivial or may think it is just a bit of vomiting or a behavioural issue.
A reflux "must read"
Reflux Reality is a lifesaver. After several months of broken sleep and anxious worry about my daughter's poor weight gain, unsettled behaviour & obvious pain, a diagnosis of reflux was almost a relief as I thought our nightmarish reflux journey would end there. Back then I had no idea about the nature of the medical procedures to come, non-medical treatment options and feeding & diet strategies that were available to help me with my baby. This book contains all of this information and more. The medical jargon is explained in plain English, the many associated issues addressed comprehensively and different treatment approaches presented clearly & non-judgementally. As well as all of this, it provides much needed compassion, understanding & support when dealing with the overwhelmingly challenging, emotionally draining & exhausting task of caring for a baby or child with GORD (reflux). I have not found any other resource as comprehensive & useful as this book and it is reassuring to know that all of the content has been reviewed by medical professionals. Highly recommended.
