Some of the most interesting women in film talk about what movies mean to them.
For over a decade, 'Projections' has provided a platform for film-makers to talk about their work. In 'Projections 13' women take centre-stage and reveal what it's like to work in cinema - ranging from one of the first silent film directors, Mrs Wallace Reid to the co-director of the Brazilian hit, 'City Of God'.
The issue also includes contributions from Frances McDormand, Anna Karina, Pauline Kael, Rebecca Miller as well as a number of women whose work behind the camera has a decisive influence on how films are made.
