This is one of my favourite books at the moment, and cannot recommend it highly enough. This book is full of amazing Australian women. I was pleasantly surprised to see the wide diversity of people included, especially women of colour and transwomen, and their achievements celebrated, as history can often leave behind marginalised people. Covering athletes, musicians, activist and medical researchers, it also acknowledges the women who were spies, nurses and correspondants during Wars, as well as survivors and fighters of cancers and adversities. Shout Out to the Girls reminds us that many different people make this country and society of ours so great. - Karina (QBD)
