Moral allegory and spiritual autobiography, The Little Prince is the most translated book in the French language. With a timeless charm it tells the story of a little boy who leaves the safety of his own tiny planet to travel the universe, learning the vagaries of adult behaviour through a series of extraordinary encounters. His personal odyssey culminates in a voyage to Earth and further adventures. Letter to a Hostage, which contains certain themes that were to appear in The Little Prince, is Saint-Exupery's optimistic and humane open letter to a Jewish intellectual hiding in occupied France in 1943.

I think the book is actually reflecting the different types of adults there are in the world and how we get consumed in our own issues and forget to actually live and let-live. Each different planet the little prince discovers equates to a different personality. It reminds adults to live life to the fullest and have no regrets. - Taryn (QBD)

The Little Prince
Grownups are very strange, says the Little Prince. A beautifully written and illustrated short novel which reminds you that no matter how old you are, there is still a child inside you. The Little Prince is a whimsical moral biography which reconnects you with the wonder and discovery of childhood. - Reviewed by 08vs
