Instead of step-by-step make-up application techniques, the content and images (a combination of illustrations, products, and original and sourced photography) give readers a unique beauty guide that offers both visually exciting and inspiring spreads of looks, and information about how to recreate them at home. Several of the chapters are inspired by popular existing monthly features in the magazine, expanded here into definitive best-ofs; while others are original concepts for this book that include things like behind-the-scenes interviews with top stylists and make-up artists. However, though NYLON readers will find definitive versions of familiar features from the magazine, almost all of the content (about 90%) is original.
