The goddess Sala is performing the spell which will close the portals between the worlds. And Zelia and Ares watch with relief - at last, order can be restored.
But as the doors slam shut there is a fearful explosion and the enchantment twists out of true. A hole is blasted through the planes, creating a vacuum through which time falls.
And as mortal time leaks from earth, only Zelia and Ares can prevent the world being swallowed up in the abyss beyond the planes . . .
