A nubile and ambitious anthropologist agrees to marry a man from a remote and forbidden Himalayan valley in exchange for access to his village. Arriving in the valley after an arduous journey‚ Diandra discovers she is not only the wife of the man she married--she is also the wife of all his brothers‚ and each marriage must be consummated in a ritual performed before the entire village. After the initial culture shock‚ she takes to her new way of life‚ studying the unusual culture and enjoying all the benefits of a wife with three virile husbands. The young men are passionate and enthusiastic about their new bride‚ and life seems simple and idyllic for all until Diandra discovers she has a fourth husband who is resentful and angry about the new arrangement. When Yeshi returns to the valley‚ passions spin out of control and life is not so simple anymore.
