Bobby now finds himself in a beautiful, primitive territory called Eelong. It is covered in lush tropical jungle and inhabited by a ferocious half-human/half-cat species called Klee. There are humans on Eelong, called Gar, but they are one of the lower life-forms. In fact, on Eelong, humans are kept as pets. But something is terribly wrong on Eelong . . . What Bobby discovers forces him to make some hard choices: to save Eelong he must break the Traveller rules - but can he do it?
