Paul Galvin had a brilliant and occasionally controversial career as one of the greatest GAA footballers of the modern era. He won four senior All Ireland medals with Kerry and six Munster championships, was a three-time All Star and won 'Footballer of the Year' in 2010. His inter-county career began in the late 1990s, winning gold in the Munster minor championship in 1997, and at under-21 level in 1999. But it was in the senior team throughout the 2000s that he came into his own as a key playmaker for Kerry in a period defined by their great rivalry with Tyrone. In a career marked by courage, physicality and a passion for the 'green and gold', there were many glorious days. But there were other days too marred by controversial incidents which led to a number of crucial suspensions from the game, most notably in 2009 when Paul had the honour of being the Kerry captain u a boyhood dream. 2010 brought redemption. But it didn't last u and 2011 brought its own controversies. In this fiercely honest autobiography, Paul writes about the good days and the bad, the highs and the lows, and gives us an unflinching and compelling account of a career that has fascinated football fans for over a decade.
