French designer Patrick Norguet has an atypical background His work in product design, fashion, and architecture draws on the legacy of Nordic design harnessing a sense of colors, elegant purity and a steadfast quest for comfort. His career took a turn in 2000 when Giulio Cappellini noticed his famous Rainbow Chair, which is currently a part of the collection at the Musesum of Modern Art. Since then, Norguet has been drawing for major designers such as Capellini. Poltrana Frau, Cassina, Tacchini, Hermès, Tolix, Artifort, Pedrali, Ethimo, and more.
With a constant quest for accurate lines and elegant shapes, Norguet sees design as a collective and innovative endeavor. He likes factories, materials, techniques, and the beauty of the mechanical part and its components.
