Laurie doesn't believe in love at first sight. Life isn't a scene from Love Actually, after all.
But then, through a bus window one snowy December day, she sees him. There's one glorious moment when their eyes meet...and then her bus drives away.
Laurie thinks she'll never see the boy from the bus again. But at their Christmas party a year later, her best friend Sarah introduces her to the new love of her life. Who is, of course, the boy from the bus.
Determined to let him go, Laurie gets on with her life. But what if fate has other plans?
Following Laurie and Jack through twelve years of love, heartbreak and friendship, One Day in December is a life-affirming love story to escape into this winter.

Hats off to Josie Silver because this book was pure emotion. The story was simply captivating. I felt so warm and fuzzy when I finished the book. Each character, each scenario, each encounter was beautifully put into words, not once did I feel like I was a reader, rather, I felt like a character. Each chapter just got better and didn't lag at all. You'd think 10 chances are a lot but reading this book, I've come to the realisation that life is full of chances, we're just so caught up with everything else that we miss our opportunity. Each character has a beginning point and an end point, their character progression is surreal and where everyone ends up is truly where I believe they should be. Simply put, anyone that wants to read a beautiful book filled with heartwarming love, happiness, the occasional cry and joy should read this book. - Vyshnavi
