The fascinating and extraordinary true story of how a young woman from a priveleged background found herself drawn into the dark world of petty prostitution and pornography by the toubled man she loved.
How does a young girl, educated at Melbourne's exclusive MLC, with degrees in Science and Design, become Australia's best-known porn star - The Horny Housewife?
Nikki Stern had a very privileged start in life. Her father was in Who's Who and her mother was once a famous ballerina. Having graduated from University, Nikki set out for Europe in the early 80s. In Amsterdam she fell into the punk scene and met a troubled Dutch-Canadian cartoonist, Paul, whom she married (their reception was at a hot-potato takeaway place) before they returned to Australia.
Her stormy marriage led her into worlds she had never imagined. Soon she found herself immersed in the madness of the 80s and the wildness of her 20s, before she was slowly dragged down into a world of swinging couples, nude modelling, sex therapy films, petty prostitution and ultimately porno film-making.
Soon Nikki found herself juggling her career as a well known porn star with motherhood and an increasingly volatile marriage. Now, she has relived her past to bring us a powerful memoir that is raw with honesty.
