I'm not ordinarily a fiction reader but I concede that I found this an amazingly compelling read from the get-go! This is a story of painfully self-conscious young love and the universal vulnerability we all experience along with those intense emotions (don't we?!) This book is a fantastic work of contemporary fiction that highlighs the internal complexities and relationship struggles many millennials face. This book will make you laugh, cry, think hard, reflect and possibly throw against a wall in a furious age.

Whilst this is a love story, it is by no means a romance. Sally Rooney pushed boundaries with her debut novel "Conversations with Friends" and has continued with this, along with her unique and captivating storytelling, with the award-winning "Normal People".
