A Journey Through Midlife and Aging
'Noon to Nightfall' explores the challenges of midlife and aging with realism and hope. First published in 1989, it has been revised and updated and includes two new chapters on sexuality. Mary d'Apice draws on her experiences as a medical practitioner, psychotherapist and spiritual director to confront issues such as stress, the aging of the physical body, and the fundamental differences in the maturation of men and women. She also articulates what she calls "a spirituality of the later years", rendering the book both a practical manual and a spiritual guide.
'Noon to Nightfall' provides a language within which the transitions of midlife and aging may be negotiated, a language within which readers may begin to name their own experiences of the second half of life.
