When Selkie the sea lion is kidnapped, Nim has to leave her island paradise, stow away on board a cruise ship, and work out how to rescue Selkie and all the captive animals in the ship's zoo. She also needs to reunite her family. Luckily she has Fred, her funny marine iguana, and two new ship-board friends, to help her. A sequel to the popular Nim's Island with a dramatic climax in New York
Nim lives on an island in the middle of the wide blue sea with her father, Jack, a marine iguana called Fred, a sea lion called Selkie, and Alex Rover -- and adventure-story writer who became Nim's friend and then Jack's girlfriend. On their beautiful island the birds and animals are free, and Nim wouldn't swap places with anyone.
But Alex suddenly leaves on the sea plane, and Nim knows it's all her fault. Then Selkie is seal-napped and taken aboard a cruise ship. Nim and Fred must find a way to rescue Selkie, and bring Alex back, even if they have to stow away and travel far across the ocean to Alex's home in New York.
A charming adventure-fantasy from the author of 'Nim's Island'.
