Clate Jackson buys a late 17th century house on Cape Cod as a retreat from his recording empire in Nashville. He needs an escape from the pressures and hassels of home and wants only solitude and peace. That's not what he gets when he meets his odd and mysterious neighbor, Piper McIntosh. Piper's grandmother, having owned the house before Clate, feels some attachment to the place and expects certain freedoms concerning the "witches garden" out back. This common history and the search for a hidden treasure buried on the property that Clate now owns puts these two guarded and unsuspecting people constantly in each others way. Much to their dismay, Piper and Clate cannot fight the attraction and passion flares along with a deadly race to find the treasure.
