'Net Force Explorers' is a brilliant high-tech adventure series created by Tom Clancy and Steve Pieczenik. 'Cloak And Dagger' was written by John Helfers and Russell Davis.
In the year 2025 the Internet practically runs the world, and its virtual reality webwork has to be policed by Net Force to prevent terrorists from sabotaging it. But sometimes they need help. Which is where the Net Force Explorers come in, the young people's auxiliary for computer whiz-kids who have made it through a tough training programme.
Daniel Sanchez is in serious trouble. His strict dad is nagging him non-stop about school grades, which is bad enough, but then he is caught lurking on the Web, trying to access unauthorised files.
A branch of the FBI, Net Force, has been specifically created to combat snooping online - and now it looks as though Daniel is guilty of that very crime.
Three other Net Force Explorers, Maj, Mark and Megan, vow to stand by their friend and hunt down the real intruder who is illegally using his identity . . . Springing a trap, they pursue the mystery hacker - and find themselves in real danger with their teen colleague taken hostage.
The action, both virtual and real, is fast and furious - and Daniel's dad may just be forced to eat his words . . .
