Charming, funny and absurdly good - find out where it all began in the prequel to The Adventures of Nanny Piggins.
Before she was Nanny, Sarah Piggins's story began as any other piggy tale might. Stuck in a stye with her thoroughly no-good siblings, Sarah longs for freedom, adventure and a chomp of an especially good chocolate cake. When Mother leaves for a job on a billionaire's yacht, the Pigginses are faced with two options- fend for themselves, or become bacon sandwiches.
Luckily, Sarah Piggins is no ordinary piglet. Gifted with a flair for fashion and her mother's baking prowess, she soon becomes one of the most sought-after cakemakers in the region. But when her lazy, good-for-nothing siblings end up at the local circus, Sarah is forced to use all her agility, flexibility and cunning to trap them in the lion's cage (the lion was in there as well, but he had the good sense to sit quietly in the corner avoiding eye contact with them. Being a lion, he recognised an apex predator when he saw one.)
Sarah's spectacular feat is met with thunderous applause, and captures the eye of the most despicable ringmaster to have ever lived. And thus, Sarah's fate - and that of the delightful cast of circus performers - is changed forever . . .
