Nancy Tichborne was born and educated in New Zealand. She was awarded the McLeod Scholarship in Art, which gave her the opportunity to study art in London in the early 1960s. She later worked in Hong Kong as fashion illustrator for the "South China Morning Post", then as a designer for an American fashion house.
After settling in New Zealand Nancy has been involved in several large commercial projects, including the award-winning Tasman Forestry headquarters. Nancy is the illustrator and co-author (with her two sisters) of such books as: 'The Cook's Garden, 'The New Zealand Break Book', '1,000 Years of Gardening in New Zealand'.
