Thirty-something marketing consultant Ian Wharton is contemplating murdering his pregnant wife Jane. It's nothing personal, it's just that the child she's carrying in her womb, the one she thinks of as theirs, happens to be The Fat Controller, Ian's devilish former mentor. How he got there isn't important (though Dr Gyggle, Ian's psychiatrist, might disagree), but what he wants from Ian certainly is.
