There's a fine line between the past and the present . . .
Fifteen-year-old Cara Gillespie and her family visit a "living" museum, Harply Historical Village, which depicts a slice of Australian rural village life in the nineteenth century.
When the time comes to leave the museum village, Cara finds a curious-looking device in some long grass. Believing the device to be a transistor radio, Cara spins the dial and promptly transfers herself back to the 1840s, where she finds that by some mischance her mother has also been transported.
Now all Cara and her mother have to do is somehow work out how they can get themselves back to the year 2001 - and Dad, who is waiting in the car park in the Mitsubishi. But before they achieve this, there are a number of hilarious and heart-stopping adventures to be had along the way.
A funny and entertaining book for the whole family.
