The combination of solid information and original photos makes the Propaganda Photo Series the most extensive and reliable source of German small arms "in-use", depicting the weapons and equipment as they were actually used. The Sturmgewehr is the mother of all assault rifles and a major step in the development of the modern firearm. It combined low production costs with special ammunition, resulting in a cheap but a very effective full-automatic rifle.
