Buildeazy.com is a hugely popular DIY website offering easy instructions, plans and advice for all sorts of building projects, designed by experienced builder, Les Kenny, and his daughter Roseanne.
In this, the second of a two-book series, the Kennys introduce basic tools, building techniques and safety tips for children aged 9-12, as well as providing simple to follow plans and step-by-step instructions for five construction projects:
- a kid's fort
- a sturdy billycart
- an easel
- a hobbit hut
- a glide ride
Some are simple enough to for a child to assemble unaided, while others are slightly more complex, and designed for a child to make with a guiding adult - who will also learn a thing or two as they go! All projects are clearly illustrated with colourful diagrams and photographs of the completed projects.
The fun projects are structurally sound, safe to make and use and have all been trialled and tested on children, and are designed to encourage kids to take on exciting projects for themselves - with a bit of help from an adult.
