The first volume in the bestselling Millennium Trilogy, now in B format. Forty years ago, Harriet Vanger disappeared off the secluded island owned and inhabited by the powerful Vanger family. Harriet’s uncle, Henrik, is convinced that she was murdered by someone in her own family – the deeply dysfunctional Vanger clan. This is a violent and bloody thriller, a sinister family saga, a mystery of massive financial fraud and a haunting love story. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is a genuinely complex and unique contribution to crime fiction.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
The story begins with a disgraced journalist investigating a cold case from 40 years previous. He teams up with private investigator, Lisbeth Salander, to find the truth behind the disappearance. The book is thought-provoking, and at times, violent. There are many memorable characters, some absolutely evil. Lisbeth is quite a different kind of heroine. Recommended for lovers of Jo Nesbo and Henning Mankell. Reviewed by 39ki
