The primary goal of this book is to provide you with a solid understanding of how to get the most from excel formulas. The book covers every aspect of formulas, including some unusual uses (eg using formulas for chart series and in conditional formatting specifications). This is accomplished with a gradual exposition of the relevant elements using hundreds of realistic and practical examples.
The style is informal and to-the-point. The information in the book is organised by general topic, and, importantly, is not tied to a specific version of Excel. With a few exceptions, the material applies to all currently used version of excel: Excel 5, Excel 95, Excel 95 for Windows, Excel 97, and Excel 2000.
The CD-ROM includes scores of ready-to-use formulas that solve specific problems including all the examples presented in the book.
