Gary Crew's 'Me And My Dog' is a tribute to man's best friend. The short stories, mostly true, feature dogs at war, dogs in science, and dogs in crime-solving, as well as historical dogs, mythical dogs and dog explorers.
Each story is based on the loss, love, sacrifice or heroism of a different dog and the anthology features such eminent dogs as Laika, the first dog in space, the Pekingese whose hair helped forensic experts solve Australia's first kidnapping case, and the famous chained dog of Pompeii.
