Max Remy is twelve, lives with her PR mum who prefers spending time with the boring and famous rather than her and misses her film-maker dad who lives in America with his young actress wife. Max has a harder life than just about anyone she knows and hates almost everything, except superspy Alex Crane, a fictitious character she has invented who works for a secret spy agency called Spyforce.
To her absolute horror, Max is parceled off to spend some time with her aunt and uncle in the bush. Dreading the whole exercise, Max arrives at the farm with attitude and a determination to have a bad time. But it is when Linden, their twelve-year-old neighbour, saves Max from sinking into a muddied, cowpat-filled dam, that they hear an explosion from her uncle's shed and Max discovers that her aunt and uncle aren't country hicks but world famous scientists working on a Time/Space Machine that will change the world!
From its hysterical beginning, right through to the end where Linden and Max are accepted into the real-life intelligence agency, Spyforce, due to their bravery and problem-solving abilities, 'Max Remy Superspy' is a sure-fire winner with children!
