Matt Dray was inspired to write about Dougal when they met while Matt was working at a garbage dump on the Gold Coast; Dougal the Garbage Dump Bear is that story. Dougal and friends have had much fun and excitement since then and Matt wrote a book about one particular adventure - Dougal and Bumble and the Long Walk Home. Matt Dray currently lives in Queensland.
