Margaret Clark is the author of many books for both younger readers and young adults, including 'Pugwall' and 'Pugwall's Summer', which were made into two television series, now shown all over the world. Some of her other titles include the 'Chickabees' series and the 'Mango Street' books.
Margaret used to work as an Educational Officer for the Geelong Community Health Services Alcohol and Drug Program. She is now a full-time author. Margaret has two grown-up children, a dog and a cat, and loves eating everything (except tripe), reading, writing and snoozing on the beach.
Her hobbies are reading, writing, walking on the beach, gardening, water aerobics, playing with her grandchildren, scrounging around in Op shops, eating Violet Crumbles and everything that involves chocolate, and sleeping.
