Mallorca Clasica is a journey to the 1960s and '70s - before tourists from all over Europe started to flood the island. In those days Josep Planas was the only professional photographer on the island. He started a business setting up small camera shops where he sold his colour postcards to the growing number of tourists. Over the years he photographed almost every location on the island, portraying famous artists and actors, as well as everyday beach scenes and hotel buildings.
This photographic heritage of Mallorca has been hidden in the private family archives, but now it's time to reveal the beautiful past of this popular place, and preserve its cultural legacy.
