Maggie Stiefvater is an American author of young adult/urban fantasy novels. She has made a living from writing since the age of 22. She now lives in Virginia with her husband, two children, two dogs and a cat.She is an award winning coloured pencil artist, and can play several musical instruments. She has previously worked as a calligraphy instructor and technical editor.
