Illustrated by Matt Ottley.
Eudyptula Minor is a little penguin, born with one tooth to parents who loved him. He stayed in their nest for ten weeks before he left home. At the age of three he finally met the love of his life and they lived in their own burrow near a rocky cliff. Eudyptula secured a job and every morning swam out to sea with his colleagues, where they avoided their boss and other predators.
At sunset Eudyptula would swim back to shore, waddle home and be greeted by his wife and babies. He lived his life like this for many years - in fact, he lived to the ripe old age of seven!
In this beautiful story, we follow his life from birth to death and see through Matt Ottley's delightful illustrations how very similar little penguins' daily habits are to human behaviour.
