This book was conceived on a busy weekday morning when the author was on a train: a fellow traveller was turning the page of a broadsheet newspaper accidentally struck the person sitting beside him in the face.
It was soon apparent that other travellers were reading equally dangerous material: books as heavy as house bricks; magazines with inserts that would fall to the floor; large hardcover books with corners as sharp as knives; complex epics that never allow the reader to "find his place" before it's time to get off...
