Rowan Brassey is one of the game's most talented and successful exponents. Still only in his forties, he has already been a NZ representative for over twenty years, with medal winning performances at the Commonwealth Games. He is held in such high regard within the Australasian bowls fraternity that every weekend from February to the end of May he's flown from Auckland to Sydney to play in interclub matches. One of this country's few professional lawn bowlers, he embodies the transformation of the game from the preserve of the elderly to one that is attracting increasing numbers of teenage players.
Along the way he's played with and against many of the game's greats, and in this entertaining, informative and sometimes hilarious look at his sporting life, he shares many of the insights he's gained and provides some shrewd advice on how to improve your game for those already addicted to the pleasures of the green.
