Les Dawson (2 February 1931 - 10 June 1993) was a popular English comedian and writer remembered for his deadpan style, curmudgeonly persona and jokes about his mother-in-law and wife. His trademarks were short, pithy jokes, usually targeting his wife or mother in law, long verbose monologues and, perhaps most famously, piano recitals that went hilariously off key.
