Wildlife Investigator Lauren Maxwell has gotten herself involved in another environmental mystery. This time, as Lauren battles to save twelve orcas from being captured for life, she also has to deal with the mysterious diving death of a very close friend. Soon it appears that Dan did not drown accidentally, but that he was murdered. On top of all this, Lauren is working at being a single mom and trying to keep on top of her precocious ten-year old daughter Jessie who has a penchant for getting into trouble.
