Karim Rashid is one of the most well-known working designers on the planet, and his work is famous for being innovative, forward- looking and relevant.

He is most famous for his work in the fields of product design, packaging and furniture, and his clients include major fashion labels (Prada, Carolina Herrera, Armani, Issey Miyake); mainstay brands like Nambe, Swarovski and Coca-Cola; successful newer companies like Target, Umbra and Method. Rashid is becoming an equally prolific interior designer and architect, and is developing a vast and diverse portfolio of installations and built projects around the world.

Like his work in product design, his interiors and architecture incorporate unconventional materials (such as bio-plastics and other sustainable materials)and Rashid applies his nuanced understanding of how people use the objects they interact with to the spaces he designs. The results are innovative and thought-provoking buildings and environments that are at the forefront of design innovation today.

His work includes luxury hotels (Athens's Semiramis), restaurants (Morimoto in Philadelphia; Nooch noodle bars in Singapore and NYC), a subway station in Naples, custom home interiors and installations. This book will showcase more than thirty of Rashid's projects, demonstrating how the designer sensibly and applies his signature design vision to many different environments.

Many of the projects are new, and they comprise Rashid's architecture as well as interior design. The book is organized by continent to highlight the global reach of his work. It includes an essay and a description of each project by Rashid, followed by several images, renderings and captions. In the back there is a complete project index, which will include the type, location, year, client and budget of each work.
