Juanita Phillips says that she has been writing as long as she can remember, way before she became a news reader. The signs were pretty much all there throughout my childhood, most of which I spent in Brisbane. I bashed out my first novel (about Louie the Fly) on Mum's old typewriter at the age of eight.'Juanita began her journalistic career on the Courier-Mail and then moved into television after spending a few years travelling through India, the Middle East and Europe.
