Molestation almost invariably takes place in secret, and most victims never speak to anyone about it. The pain is with them for life, and their functioning as human beings is usually negatively affected to some extent.
This book is written in the form of a number of letters to an imaginary woman who, as a young girl, was molested by her grandfather. She lives in a small town and has no access to a suitable therapist. She and her therapist (the author) agree to undertake therapy by correspondence.
