Amanda Barrie has been on the stage since she was three, when she performed at the theatre her grandfather ran. She ran away to Soho at the age of thirteen where she became a chorus girl before making her West End lead debut in 'Public Mischief' with George Cole.
Throughout the sixties and seventies Amanda worked in theatre, television and film - including her famous role as Cleopatra in 'Carry On Cleo' - before making her first appearance as Alma Sedgewick on 'Coronation Street' in 1981.
In this honest account, Amanda not only recalls countless anecdotes from her packed professional life, she also reflects, with characteristic humour, on her sometimes-troubled personal life including her affair with Billy Fury and doomed marriage.
