The book provides a brief introduction/refresher to the IPv6 networking protocol. It describes the current landscape and state of deployment of IPv6, as well as the drivers for transition to the protocol. It then goes on to present detailed guidance for preparing, executing, and verifying the IPv6 transition of a network. Guidance is also given on what can be done to ease the transition, including taking detailed inventories of the networks beforehand.
